How to calculate the extrusion volume of the extruder
2021-05-11When producing the extruder, we will make the best use of the characteristics we want it to play. This is also our goal, so how to calculate the extrusion volume of the extruder?
The theoretical limit of extrusion is calculated by the screw geometry (cross-sectional area of the internal space of the barrel-cross-sectional area of the screw = cross-sectional area of the runner), then multiply by the lead of the large-lead thread element in the feeding section and then multiply With the main engine speed, all in international standard units, the obtained m³/h is the theoretical limit extrusion volume at this speed.
The actual extrusion volume does not need to be calculated. Generally speaking, it is metered feeding, and the extrusion volume is the feeding volume you set. If it is hungry feeding (in fact, it is rare because the feeding amount is not stable enough), it needs to combine the characteristics of the material, such as powder or pellets, what is the fluidity of the solid particles, and the structure of the feeding device etc. Usually the actual extrusion volume of the solid starvation feed will not exceed 80% of the theoretical limit extrusion volume
When designing the metering feeding amount, it is usually suitable to be 60% of the theoretical limit extruding amount. There is no need to adjust the feeding amount within a certain host speed range.
Every experiment is not a coincidence or luck. It is the essence of our countless failures. We should all take it seriously.
